Drake Announces New Facility
Clinton Township, MI
Drake is on the Grow! Drake Enterprises a leading-edge auto and heavy truck supplier to Fiat Chrysler, Eaton, IFA, GKN, Nexteer and BMW, today announced it will be opening its second manufacturing facility just down the street from its current facility in Clinton Township, Mi.
Drake’s Plant 2 is a 38,000 sq. foot building with over 32,000 sq. ft devoted to manufacturing. This plant will focus on our newest core competency Swaging and will be occupied in September of 2018, and fully operational by mid-2019.
Added to our current facility at 24800 Capital Blvd, Drake will now utilize over 118,000 sq. ft of world-class machining and manufacturing, and house over 125 employees on 3 shifts.
Nate Stemple, President of Drake Enterprises stated, “Our expansion is not only to accommodate what we have done but what we are going to do.” The company is focused on manufacturing new and innovative torque transferring products to support its customers’ needs and the changing requirements of Tier 1 and OEM customers worldwide. Keith Stemple, Executive Vice President added that “The new facility is part of our strategic plan and will provide Drake with increased production space, raw material storage, and an extensive Quality Control Laboratory”.
Drake will begin full production here in early 2019. Headquartered in Clinton Township Mi. Drake has been in business for over 65 years and is planning for significant growth in the years to come.
Drake Enterprises was recently recognized by Chrysler as a role model supplier achieving “Perfect Quality” as measured by their quality matrix. Drake Enterprises is currently one of the top suppliers of high-quality transmission components for FCA’s Jeep Grand Cherokee, Wrangler and Pacifica Hybrid vehicles.
