Lee Stemple

Lee Stemple – Chairman

Lee Stemple, Chairman of Drake Enterprises and second generation of Drake ownership has been with the company for over 50 years.

Like his son, Nathan, and his nephew Keith, he has served the company in many roles starting at the bottom before leading the company as President for over 25 years.

Lee is an active US Army veteran and a graduate of Detroit College of Applied Science.

Nathan Stemple – President

Nathan Stemple was named President of Drake Enterprises in March of 2017 and oversees all the daily operations. Nathan had been Vice President and General Manager of Drake and has been with the company for over 20 years serving in a variety of roles including purchasing, engineering and manufacturing, project management, and cost estimating.

Nathan is a De La Salle High school graduate with an MBA from Walsh College and a Bachelor’s Degree in Manufacturing Engineering from Western Michigan University.

Nathan and his family are involved in numerous volunteer and humanitarian causes in and around Macomb County.

Keith Stemple – Executive Vice President

Keith Stemple was named Executive Vice President of Drake Enterprises in March 2017 and has served Drake in various capacities since 1987.

Keith graduated from Macomb Community College with a degree in Metallurgy. Keith has taken continuous education courses at Lawrence Technological College with an emphasis in Computer Engineering.

Working his way up from entry level laborer, Keith is a skilled machinist, and can set up and run every piece of equipment that Drake employs. Keith and his family are involved in numerous volunteer charities in South East Michigan.

Kevin K. Cran – Corporate Controller

Kevin is responsible for all financial reporting and corporate accounting for the company. He also has oversite of human resources, benefits administration, risk management, and treasury functions.

Kevin joined Drake in 2015 with an extensive background in financial management and information systems in the manufacturing industry and for professional and service organizations including twelve years in public accounting.

Cran graduated with high honor from Michigan State University with a BA in accounting. He is a certified public accountant and a chartered global management accountant. He holds membership in the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Michigan Association of Certified Public Accountants.

John Yezback

John P. Yezback – Business Development Director

John Yezback serves as our Director of Business Development and has over 25 years of industry experience. John’s manufacturing roots date back to an early age where he worked many years in his family owned automotive business.

John earned a Master’s degree in Business Administration (MBA) with a concentration in Project Management and a Bachelor of Business Management from Walsh College. He also studied German at Oakland University. He holds numerous Siemens Engineering Certifications and will soon conclude the PMP credential.

Mr. Yezback has a proven track record of sound business strategies and increased profit growth within an aggressive global market. He has numerous successful International/Domestic Tier 1 and OEM program launches. John upholds his membership to several professional organizations including Project Management Institute, Siemens Product Lifecycle Management World, Society of Manufacturing Engineers, Original Equipment Supplier Association, and WCAA Scholarship Recipient.

In his spare time, he enjoys coaching his son in hockey, exercise, golf, and spending time with his family. John and his family are also involved in the volunteer charity Tiny Homes-Detroit.

Jason Beneteau – IT Director

Jason Beneteau is responsible for managing, strategizing and executing IT infrastructures while overseeing all technology operations.

Jason joined Drake in November 2007 as a programmer and IT administrator and now also oversees all Automation. Jason has over 10 years of experience in IT, programming and telecommunications.

Jason attended Macomb Community College for General Studies, Information Assurance, Computer Networking, and Industrial Electronics. Jason transferred to Walsh College where he secured his Bachelor of Science in Business Information Technology, Information Assurance, Systems Development, and Accounting. Jason graduated Magna Cum Laude at both Macomb Community College and Walsh College.

Kerry Goodwin – Senior Quality Manager

Kerry Goodwin joined Drake Enterprises in November of 2017 to head up our Quality Assurance. He comes with 38 years of Automotive, Defense and Biomedical Quality Assurance experience along with a solid background in Business Development and Management. He has been a provider of value-added, innovative and cost-effective engineering and design services, including Diversified Services, Vehicle Platform Engineering, and Product Development, Process and Equipment Engineering, Facilities Management and Technical Staffing.

In Supplier Quality Development, he utilized proactive and reactive management of supplier quality, focused on educating, training and improving the management of supplier quality processes. He has managed key customer accounts and provides technical assistance to field engineers. He has been a primary contact on Quality System Audits including ISO, IATF, PPAP, PCP, FMEA, APQP, MSA, SFE, Top Focus, and Problem Reporting and Resolution for General Motors Powertrain. He chaired the General Motors Controlled Shipping, Quality Systems Basics, and APQP Launch Assessment Steering Committees.

His Quality Assurance knowledge and skills include ISO 9000, IATF-16949, ISO-13485, ISO -17025, ISO 14001, AIAG and IATF protocol and methodology. PPAP, QSA, QSR, FMEA, APQP, PCP, DOE, SPC, MSA, Key Characteristic Designation System, Error-proofing, SMED, MTM, Visual Controls, Lean, WCM, Six Sigma, Shainin, Red X, 8 Discipline, Five Phase, Quality Network Problem Solving. In the defense industry, he has dealings and knowledge of relating to the DOD, AECA, ITAR, and DDTC.

Jennifer Kathawa – Human Resources Manager

Jennifer Kathawa, SHRM-CP is the Human Resources Manager at Drake Enterprises, Inc. She joined Drake in February 2018. Before this role, Jennifer worked in the retail industry for 13 years holding many managerial positions in different departments including logistics, human resources, and finance. Jennifer holds a Bachelor of Science degree in management from Oakland University, and a Master of Business Administration degree from Walsh College. She is SHRM-CP certified recognizing her as a human resource certified professional by the Society for Human Resource Management.

Jennifer enjoys volunteering and has been an active member of the Junior League of Birmingham since September 2016. Jennifer likes traveling and discovering new places. She has been to Spain, Portugal, France, Italy, Israel, and the Dominican Republic.
